Netregistry is a proud sponsor of Victoria’s Small Business Festival, that runs during August.

Victoria Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business Louise Asher, officially launched the festival on Thursday 28th July at Federation Square. Ms. Asher praised Victoria’s small business community of over 495,000 small business owners and operators for their contribution to the state’s economy.

“Its important small business continues to be competitive, proactive and efficient. By improving business approaches and technologies we create better businesses and boost the economy.” Ms. Asher said.

This year’s festival theme is ‘Add one more skill’ and small business owners can ‘add one more skill’ to their itinerary by participating in one of over four hundred workshops.

New feature events for 2011 include the Regional Shopping & Destination Fair, a place to discover regional Victoria’s unique shopping experience and Social Media for Business, a hands on workshop that shows you how to use social media for your business.

Popular events also make a return this year with the Small Business Heroes Exhibition (The Retailers), Small Business BIG Marketing event and the Small Business Speedy Solutions – mobile information booths setup in various locations across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The Victorian Government coordinates the festival through Small Business Victoria and collaborates with industry groups, private organisations and agencies across government to deliver events that help businesses grow, employ and innovate.

The Small Business Victoria festival is held in venues throughout metropolitan, suburban and regional Victoria and starts 1 August 2011.
